“We bend the little finger, happy is the one who is satisfied with what he has ...
... The second finger - happy is the one who does not want happiness, but is not afraid of misfortune. I myself violated the second rule: I even fell ill with a small ailment, but I was afraid that suddenly there would be cancer or some other kind of illness ... Suddenly there would be big troubles ... And since I didn’t become afraid, it’s another matter, now I live happily. I began not to be afraid of misfortunes - my life went completely differently. The third finger - happiness consists in making others happy. This is not everyone, not everyone is looking to experience it for themselves. But I know when you do something good, especially to someone in need, then such grace enters your soul! Fourth finger - happy is he who does not act according to his will. In order to have peace in the family, the elder advised to yield to each other. The elder often repeated the words of St. Ambrose: “We must live, do not grieve, do not condemn anyone, do not annoy anyone, and my respect to everyone.”
