Hello, dear members of "Rainbow in Cyprus"!

I am a mum of 17-year-old Artur. We live in Riga, Latvia. We have read a lot about your foundation. The charity programme "Green Lamp" visited us and journalists told us about you.
My son survived 3 strokes in early childhood, his right side of his body was paralysed. Doctors did not give good prognoses. Every day I take care of my son, I take him to doctors, we were treated in Germany, in St. Petersburg. I managed to put a crippled child on his feet. Now he is a bilingual teenager. 

He had his first stroke when he was two months old. After that, the doctors found a serious vascular anomaly on an MRI scan. At the age of two and a half, he had a second stroke. But I did not lose hope for my son's recovery. Doctors insisted on surgery, but they were afraid, because at that time it was the only child with such a diagnosis in Latvia. At the age of three Arthur had a head operation, but something went wrong and a third stroke occurred. Arthur became paralysed.
Arthur was re-learning how to hold his head up, sit up, walk. In fact, we lived in the hospital.

The final diagnosis: VENAE GALENI MALFORMACIJA,SIMPTOMOTICESKAJA EPILEPSIJA, SUNTIROVANIE.
At the moment my son is studying remotely in the 9th grade, he attends the Paralympic centre where he plays ball sports, he has daily physiotherapy sessions, he really likes and benefits from hippotherapy (riding a horse).
A very special teenager I care for and raise on my own. We have a very, very long-standing dream to go to the sea with our son. Especially attracted to Cyprus - because it is the land of legends and sunshine.
