Hello, dear founders of the Rainbow in Cyprus Charitable Foundation! I am writing to you as a mum of a wonderful boy. His name is Mishka, he is 8 years old. Looking at my son, it is hard to imagine what he has gone through and what challenges he faces every day.

Mishutka was born, as it seemed at the time, as a healthy child. But by the age of two everything started to change, there was a regression in development, allergies, problems with his teeth (he had an operation) and digestive tract. In the end he was diagnosed with Hirschsprung's Disease (genetic disease). Hospitalisations, painful procedures and then a complicated operation followed. After a long rehabilitation, during which the following diagnosis was made - consequences of organic lesions of the CNS, cognitive decline, RAS. It was difficult to realise and accept. I knew nothing about it, everything had to be learnt and educated how to properly help and raise my son. Because of the specific behaviour, visiting many places became difficult. But we always try to go everywhere despite all the difficulties.

The pandemic was very difficult for Mishutka, but when the self-isolation ended, he resumed attending correctional classes. It was a shame that it didn't last long. The war started and we had to leave Ukraine. Our family is now going through a very hard period in life. Although it should be noted that we have small achievements. Mishutka has started to speak, this year he finishes the first grade, I am very proud of him. My little superhero! When I heard about your charity fund "Rainbow in Cyprus", I really want my sweet boy to visit you, to see the sea and get a lot of bright and light impressions, which he needs so much.
